What Atlas does
Public licensing data, made usable.
Alcohol licensing data is public but scattered across agencies, formats and naming conventions. Atlas collects it, cleans it and serves it through one versioned API.
One record per business
The same company shows up under different names, numbers and agencies. Atlas matches them into one entity with stable IDs, groups related entities into organizations, and keeps every merge reversible.
Locations you can map
Licensed premises get standardized addresses and coordinates, most to the rooftop. Look them up by street address, or find everything within a radius of a point.
A feed of what changed
Each refresh records licenses issued, renewed, transferred, moved and lapsed. Poll one endpoint and stay current without re-reading the whole dataset.
Provenance on every answer
Every record says which public source it came from and how fresh it is. What Atlas infers, like a wholesaler’s class, is kept apart from what the source says.
What it’s for
Built for the questions you ask every day.
- Verify a license at onboarding
- Check a customer’s license number against the state and federal record before the first order ships.
- Resolve who you’re dealing with
- Turn an address or a license number into the business, its locations and the group it belongs to.
- Find the right accounts
- Filter by license type, state and wholesaler class to see who is licensed to buy, sell or distribute.
Sources
Straight from the agencies that issue the licenses.
TTB wholesaler permits
Every federally permitted alcohol wholesaler.
TTB new permits
Federal permits as they are issued.
Colorado Liquor Enforcement
Every state liquor license in Colorado, retail through wholesale.
Sources refresh on their own schedules, and more states are on the way.
